Trains, planes and automobiles around Norway

…with a ferry or two for good measure. Planning the trip.

For years and years I’ve had a visit to Norway on my bucket list.

I decided I was finally going in 2020 and then - you guessed it - the pandemic put paid to my plans.

It’s now 2022 and I began making new plans and sharing them with friends and family. During that ‘sharing’ time my friend Linda asked me if I was really serious about the trip and, if so, could she come with me. I’m thrilled to be able to share the dream with someone who’s as passionate about exploring Norway as I am.

So, since January when we booked our flights to Oslo, we’ve created an itinerary taking in Oslo, Flam, Bergen, Alesund, Andalsnes, Dombas, Trondheim, Bodo and Svolvaer in the Lofoten islands - returning via Hurtigruten to Trondheim and then home.

17 days and nearly 3000 miles. Can’t wait…
